Back to top - Q2. What is the minimum no. required to guarantee that a trip will depart?
-
A minimum of 2 persons is required to depart. Maximum number is preferred to be 8-10 persons. For groups larger than 10, a
specially created itinerary has been prepared.
Back to top - Q3. Is there a minimum age?
-
Anyone below 18 is recommended to be accompanied by their parents or guardian. Otherwise, consent of their parents or guardian is to be provided.
Back to top - Q4. Is there a maximum age?
-
No, but as there will be periods of walking activities and physical activity involved, we encourage you to be guided by your
health condition.
Back to top - Q5. How are the destinations selected?
-
The destinations are selected based on the basis of providing the best experience combining sightseeing and the suitability of the
village/community based projects. The Northeast region of India is a relatively untouched region with a vast expanse of nature
and a mountainous landscape. Despite some challenges in infrastructure which we have made ample provisions for in our package
offerings, we believe the Northeast has a lot to offer and is a good place to start our inaugural EcoAdventures supported by Jet
Airways packages.
Back to top - Q6. How are the Volunteer projects selected?
-
The Village/Community based projects have been developed in consultation with the local organisations and communities. They are
identified as meaningful projects and initiatives that provide a taste of volunteering, and educates one towards maintaining a
sustainable relationship between one and the environment. We hope this will be a start of greater Ecotourism/Volunteer initiatives
that one will undertake in future.
Back to top - Q7. What is the accommodation like? I am used to certain creature comforts and not used to roughing it out.
-
We are aware that most of our guests are city-dwellers who are used to a certain level of comfort. Much care has been ensured that
one is comfortable. The accommodation ranges from simple and clean lodgings in the villages/homes to premium 4/5 star hotels, so as
to provide our quests with an optimum travel experience.
Back to top - Q8. The time spent volunteering seems rather short? Don’t I have to volunteer for weeks or even months in order to be of benefit?
-
These packages aim to provide a taste of volunteering. Naturally, the longer one volunteers, the better, but we hope that after taking
on these trips with us, you will be inspired to volunteer for longer periods.
Back to top - Q9. What about safety?
-
We have taken all reasonable steps to ensure that you are safe. We have selected areas that are considered safe to travel. However,
no trip can be guaranteed to be one hundred percent safe, and each guest must recognise that travel, especially to lesser developed
areas carry a certain amount of risk. Each traveller is recommended to practice the usual levels of precautionary measures. Travel
insurance is highly recommended as well.
Back to top - Q10. Are there special dietary allowances, e.g for vegetarians and Muslims etc?
-
Vegetarian cuisine is widely available in India. For other dietary requirements, please inform the travel agent and they will
try to fulfill them.
Back to top - Q11. Is Visa required for travel to India?
-
A valid India Visa is required for all nationalities visiting India. For Sikkim, an Inner Line Permit is required.
Our travel partner will assist in application of both.
